Digger, administrator for the DuplexSecure forum, posted on 02-06-2009 that the work for Windows 7 SPTD support is work in progress: “Windows 7 SPTD support is work in progress. We can’t tell any ETA yet though. Please keep in mind that we are talking about kernel driver development.”

The admin stated that the SPTD support might take some time though, and this because the driver that must be developped is linked with the Windows 7 kernel, the central component of most operating systems. With the compatibility of the SPTD finalized and working, the Daemon-Tools software developers promised to take action and work on a new release of a new version of Daemon-Tools, compatible with the ultimate operating system of the Microsoft Corporation: Windows 7! This statement was made by Blazkowicz, german translator, administrator for the Daemon-Tools forum: “Since a public beta is finally out, devs will take a look into soon. But first DuplexSecure needs to release a build of SPTD for Windows 7.”
